The National Development Strategy (SND30) now constitutes the new planning instrument oriented towards the ‘Structural Transformation of the Cameroonian Economy’ to accelerate Cameroon’s march towards emergence. The emphasis is placed on the development of decent employment through support for the development and competitiveness of SMEs & SMIs. It is with this in mind that the BC-PME is established as one of the instruments for the financial support and development of SMEs/SMIs.
With the aim of meeting the needs of the structural transformation of the Cameroonian economy, the areas of intervention of the BC-PME are oriented primarily towards priority sectors with high potential, driven by small and medium-sized agri-food and agricultural businesses. and industrial sectors with a significant impact on the development of the economy, job creation and increased value added in the secondary sector.
Today, BC-PME presents itself as a major player to financially support and strengthen the capacities of agricultural and agri-food SMEs (SMEAA) following a new strategic direction for 2024. To achieve this, it will work in concert with public donors. and private sector, development banks as well as with all competent technical and financial partners to boost the economic growth of our country.
